Victim of a Strangers Love

Being the victim of a strangers love stays with you forever, but before I tell my story let me explain what the victim of a strangers love. Lets say you see a homeless person on the side of the street. You go up and pray with him, or give him money, or food, or something to that effect. That homeless person is the victim of a strangers love, and your the stranger. This isnt just like giving a simple compliment to somebody (which is nice to do), its showing Jesus' love. It's showing somebody not to give up, it's saying "Hey, I don't know what your going through but if you need anybody, im here for you". They dont really have to be a stranger, but Gods love is magnified when you show his love to a completely random person. Sometimes this random act of love, could make them want to do the same to another person, kinda like the movie Pay It Forward. If you dont know this movie, it's about a boy who helps three people and each person he helps, have to help three people. So maybe you would like to try this, i dont know your mind, but to me this would be very intresting to see what would happen.

Now anyway, my story about a strangers love is this: I went to a church neer me just to see what they had there, my moms friend went there and had a son who was an intern for the youth ministires. His son convinced me to go to this youth service that they had every sunday night. So I went and I loved it. They had great music, a great message, and the move of the holy spirit. Then afterwards, the teens there just spoke whatever was on their heart. One girl had said that God was saddend by his people because some were just raising their hands and giving "praise" with no heart behind it. She said when you lift your arms and say hallelujah, that means you are surrenduring to him. It really spoke to me so when everything was done i went up to her and told her thanks for sharing. She just looked at me and asked if she could pray with me. I said sure, and as soon as she started to pray, i began to cry. She took me and held me and told me i was one of Gods favorite peoples...and basicly dont give up he still believes in you. Thats always kinda been with me and i try to remember that. It really woke me up to what God was saying and i will always love that girl for that.

laying in the grass watching the stars
the beautiful spring flowers
windows down in a fast car
swimming late at night
doing something right

living life, not having a price to pay
Jesus died on the cross and took that away
being forgiven for your everything you did wrong
because jesus' love is that strong

these are the little blessings that get you far in life

Jesus' love

First thing I would like to ramble about is how much Jesus loves us...HE DIED FOR US!!! Yeah thats how much. He was perfect...he never sinned, but he decided that because everybody else in the world sins, that they need to be saved and he could save them...and HE DID.

Now I dont know if its just me that wont do this, but how many of us would live a perfect life, then die a brutal death for people i dont even know...people who hate me...people who weren't "as good as me".

New Years Resolution

For my New Years Resolution, I want to be closer to God...so I made a list of goals that will help me get closer to God.

*FIND THE GOOD IN EVERYTHING
~makes me feel better and helps me be more thankful for what God has given me
*USE MY TIME WISELY
~instead of spending so much time doing nothing, I can read my bible and make my day fulfilling
*TRUST GOD
~let him work my paths in my life...it will be 10 times better than my way
*HAVE A PEACEFUL MIND
~be in constant prayer, when your angry, pray. When your sad, pray. When your happy, PRAY
*LOVE EVERYBODY
~as a Christian I try to live my life like Christ...and he tells us to love everybody, even our enemies
*DON'T JUDGE
~I have my own problems, I don't need to anylaze other peoples life

Romans 12:2 (new century version)

Do not be shaped by this world; instead be changed within by a new way of thinking...

whin i hear this i think it means something like, Be numb to the temptations the world throws at you by changing the way you think in with your brain and in your heart. The verse ten continues on, saying:

...Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.

So, to me, changing the way you think so that you know what pleases God means to study the bible and change your heart according to the bible. You need to truely be in love with God and truely seek him by reading his word and putting it in your heart, not just your brain. And something to add to this note, just because you look like a christian and put scriptures in your memory doesnt mean you are a TRUE christian. To be a true christian you cant just place scriptures in your mind, you need to lock them in your heart.
*Psalms 119:11- I have taken your words to heart so i would not sin against you
If God's word is only in your mind its just sitting ther, useless. Its like knowing what pleases God, but not really caring if you do. Putting it in your heart is changing the way you think in your mind and changing the way you take on life. It means your really trying not to sin agains God

Dont try to pretend you changed the way you think if you put on a good show when people are watching, but change as soon as you are in the comfort of your own home. Again you memorized the scriptures in your mind but havent put them to use...which is no good.
*James 1:22-Do what God says; when you only listen and do nothing you are fooling yourself
so if you know Gods word and dont do what it says, you are fooling you, not God
*James 2:14-My brothers and sisters, if people say they have faith, but do nothing, their faith is worth nothing
So if you claim to be a christian, but its not in your heart, it means nothing
Again dont pretend because God knows the truth and thats all that matters, he knows what your heart holds
*1 Samuel 16:7-...for a man looks at the outward apperence, but the lord at the heart.

Making the Difference

When I see a homeless person I cringe. I absolutly hate it, i want to turn away and pretend its not there but i know it is and its bad to just ignore the problem. I do want to fix tis problem but first I need to fix how i treat my peers. I must always share compassion and love them as jesus has loved me...even the people I really wish i didnt know and the ones who drive the crap out of me.

*Luke 6:35-but love your enemies, do good to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great and you will be sons of the high, because he is kind to the ungreatful and wicked
*John 8:24-a new command i give you: love one another as i have loved you, so you must love one another
*Matthew 25:40-then the king will answer, "I tell you the truh, anything you did for even the least of my people here, you also did for me."

Past Present and Future

We all have a past or something from our past that we dont like. then we fix it with the help of God and we are in the presnt...the part of life that we need to live in, the part where we need to ask forgivness of our past and not hold on to it,the part where we need to live in that moment and think of all the wonderful things God has done for us and just worship him.

Sometimes we look at people who are not "in the present" and our still living in their past, not following God...and we may judge them. Why judge them? why not help them move on, help them get to christ, help them into the present...because after all it wasnt that long ago that you were just like them.

And of course we all have futures, but we cant live in those either. When we do it just feels like we are always anxious and not enjoying what you have...when we do our days go by to fast and all we are doing in them is waiting for the next day to come so we can continue waiting for lord knows what. Anyways we dont have to worry about the future...God is already there.

I belive God called the present the present because it is one of our many gifts from him ( in other words a present) ...its the time where we dont feel overwhelmed or anxious or scared...but happy and free. and when we truely live in the present we can receive all God has for us...When you feel overwhelmed by what you have to do in the future or upset because of what you did in the past, let them go and live in this moment and thatnk God for all you are
